I think the person is probably speaking of new FCC rules allowing easier entry into the local franchise market. I would say that if you are an employee of the telco's, (Verizon, ATT, etc..), that you are probably going to work much more for the same amount of money. The general contractors will prepare for the additional work, but the pay will stay the same. They will follow the same old plan, hire the hacks, increase the work force at the expense of the customer, increase competion, and lowball the bids. Hmm, sound like the Satellite and Cable industry, only the telco's know how to do it better, they have been at it for a long time. Excuse spelling errors, I could not get the spell checker to work.
