Just looking at my NEC book and I dont see where there is a section stating that all satellite dishes have to be grounded, and as far as the junction boxes if you ever looked inside one there is usually a ground and that box connects to another box using metal conduit and at that other box there is also a ground meaning that all the metal outlets including the ones in the wall are grounded meaning that while they are not suitable for dtv code or standard IT IS A SUITABLE GROUND,,, I mean when an electrician comes in to add an oultet he does not go and slam a ground rod into the ground again he would simply ground to the metal box only after he has grounded at the junction, from where he is bringing down the romex. And again this so called hack does not say that you have to have the customer sign a waiver for breaking NEC code but,, he can sign a waiver saying no to an ugly green wire running down the side of their million dollar plus custom home. Heck even a tract home owner can sign waiver refusing to allow you to run an ugly green ground wire down the side of the house THERE ARE NO NEC CODES STATING THAT A DISH HAS TO BE GROUNDED. A recommended ground is NOT A REQUIREMENT. And as far as you refusing to do the job due to a ground wire being refused,,, well thats all on you,, I do believe that a customer who refuses and signs your dtv work order refusing the visible ground will pass qc so long as it is written and reported. I know that some hsp's will give you some crap about it and will let it go. Anyways vegassat,,, This hack must go and do another non visible ground install. Peace and Happy Holidays to you and yours.
