To first let you know vegassat, I myself and any knuckelehead that works for me or that I train to do either satellite installs or Home Automation Prewires I do require a ground wire at satellie location and a minimum of 5 lines. Now I know that in all my custom homes I dont have to worry about a satellite company coming out to do the install because I am the one to do it. As far as cable goes at the d-marc I usually have at least four lines going to my panel Tthats just me I like having more than enough lines you never know what changes can come later. And as far as the exposed ground wire I do beleive that you can have the customer sign your work order to let you off the hook for not grounding or if its grounded in the attic, there are cold water pipes and usually some sort of metal junction box to ground to and by the customer signing and waiving the exposed ground wire and YOU the tech writing it down on the work order that the ground is in the attic and that if the q.c guy wants to check it he can by contacting the customer.
So veagssat, I think this PREWIRE SPECIALIST is the cut above, like I said I have done it all including electrical I am c10 certified as well as c-7 (low-voltage) licensed.
