I am afraid there is not much a small man can do. I'm not sure it can be changed. I do know when it all started.
Then: Small mom and Pop Cable Systems
Now: Mega systems
Then: You knew the owners
Now: You know the project manager
Then: The owner and you negotiated prices.
Now: There is no negotiation.
Then: If you needed an advance, to get started, no problem.
Now: Laugh in your face.
Then: Get paid, weekly
Now: Get paid, 30 days out, if you are lucky!
Then: QC done by Local plant manager.
Now: QC done by person, who was working at MacDonald's, last week
I could go on and on, let someone else, add to my start!
