We do a lot of the delash relash here, we primarily use telsta units so we can be in the bucket while it is moving ( osha ) anyway we have found it easiest to have the guy in the bucket push all the fibers along at the same time as the truck is moving, placing a few rollers along the way to keep as much weight off the wire as much as possible, even this way you may have to stop mid-span depending on # of lashings, once we get the bundle to where we are going to cut it we snake a piece of copper through the wire. This keeps us from double cutting the same coil and keeps the wire in a fairly neat bundle after it is cut. The delashing seems to be the easiest, but we have not found a quicker way to cut the wire itself, i'm sure the big duck has got a few tricks of the trade he can share with ya though. There is a delash jig out there, but it seems to jam up when more than 2 seperate lashing are existing.
