Re: Diplexing?!?!

Listen bro,
all these guys have good intentions but lets try the obvious.
Like I said before check to make sure your lines are not split, meaning that there is a splitter somewhere else if the satellite is the only thing not working then that usually means thats the problem.
As far as freq's and all that most of that holds true but if your not getting signal from the sat, nine out of ten there is a split.
I have seen this many times and I would almost put my rep on the line for this.
One more thing is the existing line that is in question an rg6 or rg59 ?
And by the way, the dc out of the diplexer does not really make that much of a difference as the voltage is gonna pass either way 13 to 18 volts is what your dtv reciever puts out and that does not change, so trust me when I say that there is little chance that you have the diplexers wrong, I just think you need to check for splitters in the line(s) in question.
If you have a toner use that to trace the line through out the run it will either give you a tone or it wont and will end up being one of your most used tools in this business.
I use a variety of them and they all work well.
Please if you can give me more of an update and let me know more about this house so I can better assist you and eliminate things that may be causing the problem.
Hope to hear more.
