File a lien against COX. In NV, subs can go after homeowners and businesses that initiate the work if their prime fails to pay. It is up to COX to require their primes to submit evidence of payment to any subcontractors hired for the work. It's called a release of lien form and a sub signs it when he is paid, then a smart MSO requires a copy of this document before releasing payment to the prime. In that way, the MSO can't get sued because some prime stiffed his sub.
Filing a lien would put that prime on the fast track to getting canned so make sure you are willing to wait on COX wanting to get rid of that lien because you probably won't see money from your prime unless COX says "PAY THIS GUY,NOW!"
