Climbing Gaffs

My guy is a linemen and he climbs. He is presently using Klein gaffs. When i spoke with him last night he said a friend let him use their Bashlin Gaffs (aluminum) with a twist and cadillac pads and they felt the best. Not to sound dumb just what are the cadillac pads and where is the best place to purchase this type of pads & gaffs ?
