lostintx is right...assuming a given area was designed to have adequate light levels to the house, your problems should be minimal & basically isolated to the typical install issues.
It's just a typical CATV QAM RF setup(for now), without all the actives & taps, etc. in the OSP to degrade it. Just the basics of CATV STB installs like bad fitiings, bad splitters, too many splitters, etc. You shouldnt have to worry too much.
