Amen to that. I live in an area of Tampa where parents spoil their children beyond my belief. Being able to give your children fancy cars and everything they desire seems like the right thing to do if you can...but it definitely isn't. When do they learn the benefits of hard work and effort when everything is simply handed to them ? When does it end ? How does it end ?
It definitely makes it hard on the "old-school" parents who don't cave in to this ridiculous pressure to provide a pampered life-style that at some point, must end. I joined the Navy when I was 18 to provide for myself. 20 years later I was still at. Your folks raised you right.
