The American public in general can't fathom the complexities of outsourcing, except to say that it hurts them. The reason illegal immigration is such a big deal is because the average American can see the impact right before his very eyes. This is what creates the sense of urgency that this is more important.
I will tell you this, I lost a lot of satellite work back in Las Vegas to the illegals. I kept my rates up there even while they were taking 50/10. It wasn't long before I was priced out of the market and decided to leave. This was also happening even in my cable days. I would see the shop turning brown and a rate cut would follow and then more browning, and then more rate cuts.
