My mistake! I thought you were saying wall fishes have always been free. California had what they call earth quake foundations! I did quite a bit of installs when splicing and line work went elsewhere and i'll tell anyone, with the exception of fleas and sewage and god forbid an earthquake when your under one, was the only way to go and under no circumstances would a charge to do so even be considered. The comment that got me goin' was about the guy that grabbed a hot wire. I don't know if you know what Knob and tube wiring is but all installers need to know it exists. Mostly in older homes except in Az and Ca a 50 year old home and sometimes less out this way. Codes existed then but apparently weren't being followed or enforced out West. Something you really need to be aware of and recognize when you come across it. Later, Mike M.
