Great discussion so far. I do have one question, where is it in our history that we are a democracy? Please quote chapter and verse. Tell me why the electoral college was set up. Please tell me the exact phrase from the Federalist Papers. Hint: The electoral college was established for the express purpose of NOT HAVING A DEMOCRACY.

Please in your discussion lets make sure that we don't perpetuate a myth. This Nation was founded as a Democratic Republic.....there is a major difference. That is for you to research and understand the diferences.
