It depends on how the QCs are run. In some areas, QC guys are under a lot of pressure to do a lot of QCs. Many QC guys are also expected to find problems. So, in that sense, many QC guys will learn who the screw-ups are in their system. If Joe Hack is known for blowing off grounding quite regularly, then the QC guy will pick on him because he knows he'll find a ding. On the other hand, those guys who are well-known for doing perfect installs are rarely QCed. Many QC guys will just write up a pass on them and go home on the clock instead. That's why I like being on the known for good work side of things. I could probably blow off my next ten grounds and not one of them would come back to haunt me. So that comes in handy when you have some crappy job that you can't make look like a million dollars.
