Salesmen that know the equipment and don't promise the moon are great! But i have run into many installs where the salesman didn't even know how the equipment worked and promised things that were NOT deliverable by anyone, and then it was the "dumb installer" that took the rap for it..... one that comes to mind was one where the salesman said that the receiver could be installed in a location that could not "feasibly" have a wire ran to it..... 2 floor house with finished basement and they wanted the receiver in the center of the house... and without ripping out some of the drywall ceiling and fishing across that space OR tacking it up on the ceiling of a BEAUTIFUL room it was not gonna happen..... I was the idiot in this case and walked away from the install, and avoided a ton of headaches for the customer and myself. the salesman had 3 other installers tell him that it couldn't be done before he realized that it indeed would not work where he promised it.
