Your comment is the root why you and I will probably always disagree. Your definition of a "true worker" is that he/she is a "true producer". My definition of a "true worker" is a "true producer" that gets "true compensation". Illegals only produce. Slaves only produce. Thats why they are liked by people who sit on your side of the fence. They produce and dont complain. Thats what you guys want, and in cable & sat thats what you guys get many times. You guys are lucky because you dont get the bad press that comes with using illegals, you are doing this to American workers.
If you like low wages, being mis-classified, helping companies avoid taxes and other things, fine. Stay here. As a matter of fact I beg you to stay here. Keep this backwards thinking out of the rest of the telecom world. Keep it in cable/sat. I beg of you. This is such a good industry keep your secret here.
Cable/Sat do not compensate theirworkers in a fair manner. The rates get lower and lower while the technology gets more complex and the cost of living goes up. I think the terms most guys work under are just plain bad and continue to get worse.
