Come to work every day early, clean cut and clean dressed. Have the MSO specified vehicle and the right tools plus over and above to "git er done". Provide clean work product for the prime so no charge backs or QC's from MSO.
Hanging from a pole and slowing your day down talking to others techs on your nextel repeatedly explaining how to troubleshoot, or even just basic cable 101 so they can "git er done". Stay around through the beggining when I traveled 50 miles each way to work to get a route with 3 jobs. Only to find out the "tech" who just came out of "training" driving the soccer/trailer mom grocery getter with the paint splattered ladder bungeed to the luggage rack, who is asking me how to do his job and trying to borrow tools from me is getting the exact same pay rate as me. Yeah, been there done that. All in all, we're all just bricks in the wall. But it's ok....I severely needed the humbling.
