You guys made some very good points about the storm the aftermath and our government. Primebusiness you are right the government is steadily fixing up Afghanistan and Iraq but they can't help their own citizens. That has always been the story for quite a long time. I frigging despise the governments way of prioritizing foreign policy over domestic issues. It is not run by sensible people. We depend on oil from overseas but we have so many unused resources right here. They use and betray the various radical groups and nations that have fought their battles that they didn't want to get involved in. When these people turn on us they usually end up throwing our tax dollars out of the window. I think that we should help ourselves first. Improve education, repair the gulf region, allow Lousiana to make revenue for the oil production off its coast and fight crime. Make people that are receiving government assistance take a course get a certification in that field then give them a set time to find a job through the department of labor or they lose all funding. They seem to forget that the people in the gulf region vote. Make them pay for not doing their job.
