Hi Everyone,
I am brand new to this forum and fairly new to the cable industry. I have been doing primarily underground construction for Time Warner Cable here in the Charlotte, NC area, but now am moving into some splicing here and there as needed. I recently purchased a Sencore SLM 1453 meter, having trouble getting the proper information from the company I work for as how to set it up! For instance, a channel plan such as FCC, HRC, IRC or Broadcast. Then, there's the question of Analog, QAM 64, 256 or 8VSB. Seems the people I work with use the older SL 754D meter, they simply plug it in and select channels 2 and 78 to get their reading, but don't have a clue as to setting up my SLM 1453. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
