Just reading all that "insight" gave me a headache.
For the the guys who refute the center wire theory......
I once reconnected a ghetto house with a cable modem and digital boxes. Nothing but copper wire between pole and house. It appeared lightning had melted everything else. Once I connected service at the tap everything was hunky dory. I'm sure she may have interference issues, but you'd have had to hold a gun to my head to run a new aerial at that location.
