The not getting the proper speed sounds like they did`nt either set it up right or you need a Certain type of modem that is uncapped. I remember Mediacom comming out with a MAX HSD service where it was a 10 MBPS download and uncapped upload.

At the time I was told ONLY a certain modem they had supported that so thatmay be the speed problem.

Also only some of the NEWER amps support the HSD service so it`s really best to have a 2 way splitter before the amp with one leg going to the cable modem. That is how it SHOULD be done.
