After three years, you should have learned a little more.

You said the following:

You got that correct, congratulations.(clap)

BUT, you also said this:

I must correct you because you are dead wrong. There are two different things here. SIGNAL is one; VOLTAGE is another. Signal is what carries the information (picture and audio). Voltage is what operates the switch or LNB. The center copper core (or conductor)
carries the VOLTAGE, not the SIGNAL. Signal is carried along the dielectric foam that is vetween the center conductor and the braid.

You also said:

" the shied or braid is to stop outside signals from interfering with the signal being sent."

Congratulations, again, you are correct.(clap)

2 out of 3 is not bad, but these are basics for satellite and cable techs. Keep reading and studying, you'll get it sooner or later.(read)(wink)
