Just as I predicted these cable systems are beginning to fall apart. Cable has a life expectancy of 30 years under ideal conditions. These systems have had electronics upgrades several times without replacing the cable.
Systems will be scrambling to fix noise problems and sooner or later the cable must be completely replaced.
Over the next few years the noise guys will be scrambling as these systems start to fail.
With telephony in place systems will have to completely rebuild and a new cable boom is on the horizon.
Like predicted it has begun
