I understand what you're saying; I happen to have a very good relationship with a local of the IBEW and I can tell you that they rule the market that they serve.
I have never been nor do I see myself in a union shop but you aren't going to change anything here.
You just keep whining (perception) about how poorly this industry treats you while you still work in it.
Why don't you find something else to do? The changes are happening and they don't have anything to do with you. Just stop it.
I know that others keep this thing going too, but you are by far the most voluminous poster on this subject!
Better yet, start your own business and form it into what you want it to be. Just give us ALL a break.
