1099 or W-2

Hey, here's a thought for all of you who complain about being paid as an contractor (1099), and not as an employee or vice versa.

Before you decide to go to work for a company, you know whether they are going to pay you as an independent (1099) or as an employee (W-2). If you don't want to work in a 1099 position then don't. There are all kinds of Contracting companies in both Cable TV and Satellite that hire subs as employees and all kinds of them that hire as 1099 contract positions, and even some that will do both. Why go to work with a company that classifies you as something that you don't want, when you could just as easily work for a company that classifies you the way you want to be. It is that simple.

(shocked)
