I kind of agree with you, but where does it end. It starts as just doing a little to help the business. Then that $5 a day of voluntary work turns into $5 per job to help out. When do you draw the line?
This same mentality is part of the reason the rates are in the toilet. 90/25 goes to 90/20 to ensure you get the contract. Couple of years later you start seeing 60/15 w/ free phone lines. So I must ask you, where does it end. And is it not a bad idea to have these and other type of issues bargained for and put in a contract so that its intent is less likely to be abused.
