All that system needs is more input..........introduce the term "Demurrage."
It is an old word that covers the situation. Consider:

Availability..........7:00AM to Noon = 5 hrs @ 40.00= 200.00
Availablity........Noon to 3:00 PM = 3 hrs @ $40.00= 120.00
Availability..........Beyond 3:00Pm = $60.00 / hr.no partial

Demurage covers wait time. You have your phone, you are in your truck.an employee would sit and be paid..........what is missing here?

So you begin and work........call in as the jobs get done......take a last job and go out of service.

OR.........Sit all day and get routed dynamically. If the router were paying for your down time another plan would emerge.

I told myself I would stop adding to these boards after beer one. I'll stop.
I'll be...........wait for it.............demur.........another fine word that helps one look good in the presence of...........dynamic routing.
