I just attended an STCE seminar on VoIP and one thing Time Warner found.
TWC customer called another customer in a different MSO system, they would not always hear this person they were talking to and called TWC to complain. Well TWC techs found out after numerous truck rolls, serious monitoring and digging into the problem the customer of the other system was the actually problem.
The other nightmare part of the story was when they tried to notify the other MSO of the problem. You can just imagine how that worked out.
I am not sure what your problem is, but I thought that was interesting.
