I just noticed in your post you made reference to the signal meter screen. I would suggest that when you are going through the set up, always go an extra step and not only look at signal meter screen, but bring up the signal meter its self. I always look at the meter itself to make sure the signal is not doing a lot of fluctuating. The screen you speak of is just a snap shot and is not all that reliable in regards of signal quality. I bring up the meter itsself, and watch trans. 1&2 for about 15 secs each. Its an extra step that doesnt take long, but can save you from having service calls.
