Well flip the scenario, pay all the COV guys the same as the POV guys then without decreasing the POV guys pay, then see how many people will switch over to company vehicles...
Well then the company will say that the cost of buying a vehicle and depreciation of mileage and insurance costs a lot of money and that is why they can't afford to do that, but when someone is using their own personal vehicle all of that extra expense is conveniently forgotten about and pushed aside.
It's just another way to bleed the techs out, slowly and painfully.
A union would have everyone in a COV, and either pay double what they pay now, or a nice hourly rate.
A union would look at the 400% profits DTV makes, and force them to share that money with the people who make it for them.
