i am just starting as a cable tech for a company that owns apartment complexes. i am in charge of about 14 properties, so 14 headends. i do all the headend work and field work that is too complicated for the maintenance workers. if a problem happens i usually have maintenance look at it first and fix it if they can. if not i go out and do it.
so my question is do you think my job is worth more than $14 an hour? since i am supervising even the maintenance supervisors i feel my pay should be atleast close to theirs. no one wants to be told what to do by someone who makes less then them. i am also taking on more responsibilities then the last tech. so i feel if more is expected of me then him i should be paid for it. am i correct in feeling this way?
