Re: Cable has launched a PR campaign

I really wasnt trying to argue with you. I just found it interesting. how things work a little different in your area than in mine, thats all. Its not that I will never be happy about my end, but is it really all that out of pocket for someone like me to question why install rates take such sharp dives, when the products we install have sharply increased the revenues of companies.

I mean its not like we took a little hit. If we took a 10% drop, I can see why you think I want something for nothing. But we are talking 50% or more cuts, while the cost of living and doing business goes up. Shouldnt that cause people to wonder what the hells going on.

I am not trying to argue with you. Its just that people like you are smart businessmen. You have intelligence, and can do basic math. But for some reason you seem to attempt to justify that a $90 install, that now pays $30, is somehow a positive thing, for of all people, the person doing the install. Even though the cost of housing, cars, GL insurance, Med insurance, and other living cost go up, some seem to feel this is for some reason a good thing. Maybe youre smarter than me and can see the math that I dont see.

I just thought if the cost of living goes up, the cost of the product to the customer goes up, the revenues of the company go up, then the pay to the installer should go up or at least stay the same.
