now I have to ask

What trends do you see that makes you think the pay is going up. I see nothing. If by chance the pay did go up it went so far down we still would be behind.

The factor of 100/25 10 years ago + added scope of work (phone lines)+ plus longer time work is under warrany + cost of living, does not equal 80/20. Then again on this side of the fence it probably does.

I think you need to be truthful with yourself. We are lucky that even though the pay drops the hours are still there. Even if pay did go up I can guarantee the increase will do nothing but make more room available for middlemen companies and the installer wont see a dime.
