The I-stop doesn't require any other equipment. It will work fine with just your SDA-5000. It is simply a power blocking resistor probe. It does have it's pros and cons. I personally believe it's cons out weigh it's pros.
The best feature is the probe tip is long and thin and will reach deep seizer screws on taps such as the SA stretch tap.
The worst feature besides it being made in France and it's $100 cost is that it is 20db down. It's not a problem when tracking major ingress but if you're not careful, you can end up chasing your tail because you can't see the noise under the probe. Once you go after lower ingress, it makes a fine paper weight. This is the main reason why I much prefer the Viewsonics probe. That and it's about 75% less than the I-stop.
As far as the noise dropping 5-6 db when the button is pushed, eh, marginal help.
Good luck with it.
