I have to agree with cable pirate on this one. What strikes me as odd is if this guy CLOSED the account and opened a new account to pay the other 30 guys, why was the scanned imaged that was posted stamped twice with INSUFFICENT FUNDS? Not trying to open a can o worms or anything, but I find it hard not to say anything when I see something that dosen't add up. I further strikes me as odd because it was maybe two months ago I went through an incident where I closed an account and opened a new one and inadvertently wrote a check out on my old account (same style check, different account) and the merchant called me screaming about a week later. When I went back with checkbook in hand, we discovered I had not used the right check as the account # on the check he had was from the old account. He accepted an apology and cash for the error and I now have the check which is stamped ACCOUNT CLOSED.
