If each one of them is wired independently to the DP+ LNB, I don't see a problem with it either. The problem comes when you do as the other poster suggested and use a DP+ Separator to connect two single-tuner IRDs to the same common wire coming from one port on the LNB.

The training link I posted even suggests that the trainer hook up two single-tuners to a separator and show the trainees what happens when you do. Now, I haven't seen that demo myself but I know that such a configuration is outside parameters. Before you try such a configuration and risk a rollback in the field, why not try that setup in the shop like the training manual suggests? Just makes sure to check all evens and odd transponders with the other receiver set to each different even/odd.
