Re: Avoiding Lifes Little Surprises

A number of years ago we had a local cop who (while off duty) was involved in an accident in which someone died. He walked away from the scene and appeared several hours later at the emergency room of the hospital nearest to the accident. He had a small fresh cut (remember this is several hours after the accident) on his head and claimed he was confused and didn't know what happened to him. Said he didn't know anything about an accident and that he had been wondering around trying to figure out who he was. No charges were ever brought against the officer and he returned to duty four days later (which was about two days after the media dropped the issue). A mighty quick recovery for someone who supposedly suffered from a serious enough head injury to make them forget things.
