For the record I would have spliced the wires and carefully explained to the customer how from time to time from now on till eternity they may have issues with their ruined house wiring because of an incompetent or lazy dish guy,and I would have continued to tell them no worries though, your now a cable customer and we'll fix it from now on for free. Kill em with service, respond within hours if possible, service is what retains customers,they never forget it.
