Re: Overtime pay on piece work

Once again, the response is to attack me. Clearly in my first post I said, "here is my speculation." Now you are attacking me for speculating. On the other hand you have tried and convicted any business who uses independent contractors as being illegal. You conclusively that they are breaking the law....you don't know that unless a.) you are an attorney who is practicing business law, or 2.) are a union organizer that has a whole bank of attorneys at your disposal. Rather than to answer any question you simply go off on how illegal all of the business owners are, that are represented in this forum . If you are not a union rep, then how can you so conclusively state the law without having any facts. Look at this whole forum today, all discussing you and what you represent. You should be proud Trey, call me a liar if you wish, but your accusations remind me of a cat covering up crap in a sandstorm. You seem to think if you obfuscate, twist meanings of words, misrepresent law, and make accusations you will be the hero. One thing I find so very interesting....in all of the posts I have read in here, most of the techs in here WANT to work as they are working. Have you ever asked yourself this question. If they are so wrong, then why do people who immigrate to this country seem to be able to get filthy rich in such a short time? Probably because they DID NOT go to work for a union firm. I just installed at a customer who immigrated here from Romania. He has a million dollar home. He has been here six years and lays brick and rock faces for homes. He is not a union member, doesn't want anything to do with them, and he is rich. He likes it that way because he has the opportunity to work as long as he wants without someone having their hand in his pocket. He did not achieve this success by wanting some union to change his diaper, and wipe his nose, and "give" him anyting. Oh and by the way Trey, why don't you answer the question that now dominates the board....what do you really do for a living.
