i fell 15 to 20 feet off a ladder in June, I don't remember that or the next six days. broke 11 ribs, shoulder blade, cracked my skull in two places and tore my rotator cuff. Comp paid me the difference of what I was making when I went back on light duty. Comp just wants the employer to pay some of the bill. You should not be making any less than comp was paying.
Rehab was rough but it did help. You only get out what you put in. No one expects you to heal overnight. If you don't feel you can do the job again (like me) you should get a vocational councilor to help you decide your next step. Comp should be able to help you with that.
