ps , you can also use a modem-equipped PDA , or even a laptop . also, instead of cutting and stripping and then adding alligator clips , you can go to just about anywhere that sells telephone equipment and wires , and get a little RJ45 jack with the leads already on ( horseshoe or clips ) and add it to your toolbox . As long as you have a dial tone , any ( touchtone ) phone you can plug in , will allow you to dial out , so you can receive the number via Caller ID .
