to find out which line is which , or , what the number is ; use the handmade butt set , clipping on the solid and striped pair ( of the same color ) { one is Tip , the other is Ring } , get a dial tone , and then dial a dial your cell phone ( if it has Caller-Id ) , the number for that line will be displayed { let it ring at least 3 rings } . hope this helps , it's worked for me several times .
