If it's side work and you are cutting him a deal, it's always cash up front, otherwise you charge the premium price just to take the risk of bouncing checks and all the b.s. you have to go through to make it good. The cust. can always go to the ATM and come uo with cash and any honest individual should not have a problem with that. Chalk it up as lesson learned! when your in biz you don't get ahead by being someones chump. you're already cuttin' 'em a deal so don't be embarrassed to demand cash up front!
