A rancher in Arizona invited a militant anti-immigrant organization ( Ranch Rescue ) to his property for just this type of thing. They caught some illegals coming across, detained them at gunpoint and beat the hell out of them. In the law suit that followed the rancher and Ranch Rescue was fined heavily and the individual members were jailed on civil and human rights violations.
