Who ever this was addressed to got a break on his/her taxes with this company! If your status changes from contractor/subcontractor to employee, you have %7.5 less SSI liabillity.

The company however, is screwed!

The IRS is not one to battle with. I have a friend who has not been able to claim his kids for the last two years. Even though they are his kids and he has lived with them and his wife. He has spent $500 for a tax attorney who probably hasn't done much. If he would be allowed to claim his 2 kids, then he would be getting back $3500. But as it is now, he is being told to pay about the same amount.
