The only news I have is from my local PTA - yeah from our daughters SCHOOL!
ccording to the latest news - Verizon is looking at helping PTEC schools. They wanna start training wanna-be high school drop outs how to splice fiber and place them into these jobs.
I guess by Tuesday of next week Wilcox (school board super) will make some announcements in the newspaper about the progress of this 'idea'. It may take a while for this to effect things locally, but it seems to me like a real good way for Verizon to cut out all the subs.
