I was also ripped off for serveral thousand in the florida and texas states, but have been through this before. I have had to try the hard way to collect and got nothing.
Now I know how to collect my money(at least most of it) and that is through the federal labor board.
In Florida there # is 954-356-6896 this is in FT. Lauderdale; in Texas the # is 1-800-832-9243 this is in Beaumont. Tx.
The feds audit them for the past 5 years, freeze their bank accounts and collect your money, as long as you have the production reports, (copies) and can prove the amount/hourly rate agreed on. It takes about 3 to 5 mths but they will get your money. Just keep calling ,fill out the paper work and be patient. Their misery makes up for the loss of any per-diem but do they sqirm. PLUSSSSSSSSSSSSS they also sick the IRSSSSSSSSS on them .
