So who conquered the people that made up ancient Egypt? Your reference to oil is irrelevant because oil wasn't popular as a resource until the invention of internal combustion engines. What happened in the 2,000 years before oil? The answer is in demographics. The Egyptians of today are not descendents of the Egyptians of ancient times. Whatever happened to Egypt between then and now is what will happen to America. Egypt failed because their population was replaced over time with a new people. Were they invaded, or was the takeover passive as it is here in America?
Here's another one for you: Why is the State of Calfornia constantly struggling financially, when it was once one of the most thriving states in the union? Why are people leaving in droves when they used to come there in droves?
