fair,no way

I there was a tech that worked for dsc in Greenville sc.He was fired for bad work,failed Qc and all kinds of bad stuff.He was paid his last check because he owed one of the supervisors 150 bucks and the supervisor figured it was the only way to get the 150 bucks out of him.If he waited(supervisor) he might not get anything due to the fact that the company would keep all the money because of failed qc. Now I know this installer that quite.Good installer,honest,and a good person.The company dsc will not pay him his last check,Why? they told him that they hold checks 30 days to pay for any failed qc's that they might find. Now am I missing something or does this sound like bull----.
