Go to one of the primes doing work for the telcos. Cable's dead.
If you're looking for steady work, that's the best option. The pay is much better for the piecework. System work for Comcast is a joke, barely pays expenses. I lost money trying it for a year, can't imagine if there was a learning curve.
Don't even think about doing installs. You will go broke. Its a sham being dumped on hard-working chumps(myself included). You'll just be one of the guys getting shafted so the boss's but-buddies get a good route.
